The school bus was almost full when Leo climbed aboard. He walked slowly down the aisle, gripping his backpack straps. Every seat seemed taken except one - right at the back.

Leo hesitated. The back seat was famous for being noisy and crowded, but today it was strangely quiet. Taking a deep breath, he sat down. As the bus pulled away, Leo noticed something unexpected: the journey felt calmer than he had imagined.

R- Where was the empty seat on the bus?

I- What does the phrase “Taking a deep breath” suggest about how Leo was feeling?

C- Do you think Leo would choose to sit in the back seat again next time?
Explain your answer using evidence from the text.
