LC: To recognise that everyone should be treated equally.

“Only boys are chosen to play football.”

Is this fair or unfair? Why?

Sometimes fairness isn’t always “treating everyone the same,” but giving everyone what they need to succeed.

We are all different, but we are all equal.

Activity

In groups you will be given one of the scenarios below.

Act out the unfair situation first, then replay it showing equality and respect

Present to the class and discuss how feelings changed.

The Football Game

Scenario: A group is picking teams for football. One child is left out because they are not as fast.

The Group Project

Scenario: A team is working on a poster. One pupil’s ideas are ignored because others think they’re “too quiet.”

The Lunchtime Table

Scenario: A new student from another country sits down at lunch. Some pupils move away because “they’re different.”
