Spelling Detectives

Write six numbers between 1 and 10 in your spelling journal, each one on a new line.

Walk around the room to find your numbers. When you have found one, return to your place and write it down, taking care to spell it correctly. Then go and find the next one and repeat until you have found them all.

Today we are going to use the first three letters of a word to check its spelling and meaning in a dictionary.  Using this skill helps us to find words more quickly.
