Can you remember what a complex sentence is?
What is a main clause?
What is a subordinate clause?
In a sentence, how can you tell which is which?

1 Think of a complex sentence about your school day.
2 Write one sentence in which the main clause is first.
3 Now join the same two clauses to make another sentence in which the subordinate clause comes first.
Here is my example:
We can talk quietly to our friends when we have eaten our lunch.
When we have eaten our lunch, we can talk to out friends.

Emotion regulation is about managing how we respond to our feelings so they don't control us. It doesn't mean making the feelings go away; it means learning how to be with them without being taken over by them. It's like managing a storm inside without letting it flood you.
