LC: To draw a flower with pastels, using observational skills.

We have appreciated the work of William Morris.

What was William Morris inspired by?

Using observational skills, we are going to express ourselves with pastels! We are going to look at the flowers in front of you and carefully draw them with pastels.

Below are some images of observational drawings and paintings of flowers.

LC: To retell the story of Prophet Muhammed (P.B.U.H)

Once upon a time in the city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia, a special boy named Muhammed (P.B.U.H) was born.

His mother, Amina, and his father, Abdullah, loved him dearly. Unfortunately, before Muhammed (P.B.U.H)was born, his father died.

People knew that there was something very special about this young boy because miracles started to happen when Muhammed (P.B.U.H) was around.

There was a town that had no rain and nothing had grown for years. Everyone in the town was starving. It is said that when Muhammed (P.B.U.H) entered, the grass began to turn green and rain poured, watering the plants. The land became full of fruits and vegetables and farmers began farming again.

Muhammed (P.B.U.H.) became known for his good character. He would climb a mountain called Hira and pray alone.

When he turned 40, something extraordinary happened. The Angel Gabriel  (Jibreel) visited him and told Muhammed (P.B.U.H) that Allah had chosen him to be a prophet.

Prophet Muhammed (P.B.U.H) was given the Quran in the month of Ramadhan.

People listened to him and began to follow his teachings.

Sadly, Prophet Muhammed (P.B.U.H) passed away at the age of 63. He was buried in Medina. A mosque was built which is known as Masjid Nabwi. Millions of people visit to have their prayers answered.

His life story reminds us to be compassionate and to treat others with respect.

Can you use pictures to help you to retell the story?
