Timetable
Autumn 1
Get ready for an exciting Autumn term in English! We'll be diving into Roald Dahl's "The Enormous Crocodile" and exploring the art of storytelling. You'll learn to create and develop settings for narratives, craft new plots, and describe characters, settings, and events.
As Mathematicians this term you will be working with numbers up to 1000 and focusing on the value of each digit. Pupils will learn how to compose and decompose numbers, compare, order and look for patterns.
We will have fun with learning simple addition before moving on to addition with renaming. Subtraction will also be covered in a similar way before moving on to problem-solving questions and practice using bar models.
3P - Maths Place value
As Scientists this term we will be exploring the importance of a balanced diet. You will understand the nutrients that are needed for healthy growth and describe why exercise and hygiene play a vital role in development.
During Geography this term you will learn what Human and Physical features are. You will be able to identify the Human and Physical features of the capital cities of the UK. We will have fun using an eight point compass and locating cities of the UK on a map.
As Artists, you will be focusing on pencil control and how we can create different textures and lines. We will identify the illustrations created by Quentin Blake in our English novel this term of "The Enormous Crocodile". You will have the opportunity to use Digital Media as well as watercolours to create an illustration.
As Theologians this term we will be exploring the religion of Hinduism and focusing on why family is an important part of the religion. We will explore how Hindu's celebrate one of their festivals known as Raksha Bandan.
During PSHCE this term we will look at the different ways of managing our feelings. We will identify the importance of having friends and family and how to ask for help when needed.
