Grammar

A clause is a group of words that contain a subject (the noun or pronoun about which something is being said, usually the doer of the action) and a verb (a doing word).

'I like bananas' and 'I like grapes'.

The two main clauses are joined by the conjunction 'and'.

LC: To retrieve and record information from non-fiction.

Last week we had a look at lots of information and facts about animals. Today we are going to be focusing on a non-chronological report about a person. His name is Tim Peake.

Click on the link below to find out why he is famous.

Tim Peake

Let's now take a look at another website and focus on the way that the information has been set out:

Tim Peake

Now we are going to create a Toolkit to help us to remember what features a Non-chronological report has.

Now that you have wrote the features, can you add information that you have learnt today about Tim Peake around your toolkit.

LC: To be able to subtract from a 3-digit number with the renaming of 1 ten into 10 ones.

LC: To name the duties we have to ourselves, family members and the community.

We have discussed that Dharma means duty

Can you recall the duties you have to yourself? Think about your personal hygiene.

Can you recall the duties you have to family? Think about how you help your family members.

Can you recall the duties you have within the community? What do you do outside of school?

Over the past few weeks can you remember any new duties which you have undertaken or continued to undertake? Draw and label these duties in the table below, your teacher will model how to do this.
