Wednesday
To plan and discuss what to write about.
Today, we need to make the changes to our story map to include the ideas we want to change as part of our innovated story.
Remember, we are keeping the beginning and the end the same but changing the middle.
We need to continue to learn the story, including the punctuation, so we are confident writers.
To be able to subtract tens by recognising its relationship to subtracting ones.
Turn to page 39 and 40.
Are you aware how you use the world’s resources?
What does it mean to be a citizen?
Being a responsible citizen is all about taking part in our community.
We can do this by doing helpful things and being kind towards other people in the community.
For example:
- Making sure we throw away litter
- Supporting a charity by helping to raise money
- Offering to look after older neighbours with help from our family.
Last week, you created some amazing pieces of art to show how humans have the power to care for the beautiful world we live in or destroy it.
Never has there been a more important time to become a global citizen. The Earth needs people to make good choices, better choices, for the good of all. Global citizenship requires people to play their part in saving the future of the planet by making changes, and helping others to do the same.
This week we are going to think about how we can be responsible citizens of the world by answering these questions:
Am I helping to look after the world?
What more can I do to care for the world?
