Tuesday

To plan and discuss what to write about.

Today, we are going to record the ideas we have about a twist to the plot. Remember, we are going to keep the same beginning and end but we can change the middle.

Now we need to go back to the story map and continue to practise our story.

To be able to subtract ones from a 2-digit number without renaming.

Turn to page 37 and 38.

Can you investigate and describe the importance for humans of hygiene?

What is hygiene?
Hygiene means keeping our bodies and things around us clean.

Why is hygiene important?

  1. Stops germs from making us sick!
Germs are tiny creatures we can’t see. If we don’t wash our hands or brush our teeth, germs can make us cough, get a runny nose, or tummy ache.

  2. Keeps us healthy and strong.
When we wash our hands, brush our teeth, and take baths, we stay clean and healthy.

  3. Helps us feel good and happy!
Being clean helps us feel fresh and comfortable.

Talk to your partner about the things we can do to be hygienic.

  • Wash your hands with soap and water, especially before eating and after using the bathroom.

  • Brush your teeth every morning and night.

  • Take a bath or shower regularly.

  • Keep your clothes clean.

  • Cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze.

We are going to design a poster to help the younger children in school understand why it’s important to be hygienic.

It will need -

  • clear title
  • short, simple sentences.
  • pictures
  • bright colours.
