Wednesday

To give opinions and support with reasons.

Today we are going to have another chance to share our opinions on what really matter to us.

We are going to write a review of our favourite traditional tale and give reasons for our choice.

Talk with your partner about what your favourite story has been- either one we have read in class or one you have read at home or in the library.

We will model how to write each part of the review using the example below.

To be able to add tens by recognising its relationship to adding ones.

Can you describe how Christians might thank God for creation at Harvest festivals?

Last week, we learned that Christians believe God created the world, the sky and seas, the trees with fruit, animals and humans.

Because we can go to a shop at any time and buy whatever we want, it is easy to think that's where food comes from, but we know that food is grown and often changed into what we eat.

What do we need to plant to make these foods?

Who grows the food we eat?

How is the food collected?

How do Christians celebrate Harvest and thank God for creating the food that has been grown and collected?

Many Christians give thanks to God by praying, singing, decorating churches, collecting baskets of food and giving them to people who need it.

In your RE book write how Christians thank God during a Harvest Festival.
