Review 1

Today you will be completing your review 1 pages 20-24!

Reviews are done independently, so we can see how you know and have learned, or if you need any extra help!

Remember to read the questions carefully and take your time!

Grammar

I can use full stops at the end of a simple sentence.

Read the sentences below together and show the action for a full stop.

I can see a boat.

The man is sad.

I want to go to the shop.

You need to go to sleep.

Demonstrate understanding of a text by answering questions

 Read page 15-18.

We are going to do some more copycat reading, but this time some of you are going to be Harry and some the mole. Don't forget to get into characters, using expression.

 Discuss in your partners:

What did the frog do to rescue the baby mole?

Why was the mole feeling sad when he met the frog?

Which word in the text describes how frog knows he is feeling sad?

How do you know that the mole's mum was feeling better after her baby had been rescued?

Which word is used to describe this feeling?

We are going to create a zig-zag book. We are going to draw the sequence of events between the frog and the mole.

Draw a picture in each box.

How did Abraham express his trust in God’s promise?

Last week we read the story of Noah's Ark, this week we are going to read another special story.

Watch for 2 minutes.

What did God promise Abraham?

What did Abraham do to express his trust in God?

As a group, can you order the pictures in order of the story.

Next week you will be doing it by yourself!
