LC: To design a train.
LC: To measure, saw and assemble wood to make a frame.
Before we start thinking about designing our own train, let's watch the link to see how trains first started.
How did early trains look?
Your challenge!
You are going to design and make a wheeled train powered by an electric motor. You will need to control the speed and direction of your train. Your design needs to have a removeable top so we can see the workings inside.
Don't worry, you will have a plan to follow.
Below is a picture of the train structure with an example of a removeable design. If you zoom in, you will be able to see the battery pack that will help it move.
Now using the design and planning sheet, design your own train.
