LC: To discuss words and phrases that capture the reader’s interest.

Today we are going to read a short piece of text from the book, George's Marvellous Medicine, written by Roald Dahl.

We will be focusing on the way the author has used adjectives to describe the characters and how this captures the readers interest.

What is an adjective?

We will read the passage together and then you and your talk partner will try and find as many adjectives as you can from this passage.

We will discuss what your thoughts are about the characters and how they might look.
