Children have the right to food, clothing and a safe place to live so they can develop in the best possible way. The government should help families and children who cannot afford this.

What is the sun?
  • What do you know about the sun?

  • What does it feel like when we’re outside on a sunny day?

The sun helps us stay warm and gives us light.

But too much sun can hurt our skin and make us feel unwell.

Now lets read this story about Sam!
  • 🌞 Sunny Sam’s Day at the Park 🌳

One sunny Saturday morning, Sam woke up and looked out the window.

The sky was bright blue, and the sun was shining high in the sky.

Hooray!” shouted Sam. “It’s a perfect day for the park!”

He put on his favourite shorts and T-shirt, grabbed his football, and ran to the door.

    But…
    He forgot his hat.
    He forgot his sunglasses.
And he didn’t put on any sunscreen. 😬

When Sam got to the park, he played and played.

    He ran up the slide.
    He zoomed down the hill.
He kicked his football high in the air.

The sun got hotter... and hotter... and hotter. ☀️

    Sam’s face turned red.
    His arms felt tingly.
And his head started to ache.

“Oh no,” said Sam. “I don’t feel very good.”

Sam sat under a big tree and waited for his mum.

When she saw him, she said,
Oh Sam! You forgot your sun hat and sunscreen! The sun is strong today.

She gave him water, helped him cool down in the shade, and took him home.

Later, while resting on the sofa with a cool drink, Sam said:

    “Next time, I’ll remember:

    • My hat for my head,

    • My cream for my skin,

    • And I’ll play in the shade when the sun is too hot!”

Now, Sam is a Sun Safety Superstar! 🌟

    And he always says:

    The sun is fun,
    But I stay smart—
    I protect my skin
    Right from the start!

    🌞 The End

    🌈 Discussion Questions:
