Can we interpret why words, ritual and items are used in Christian prayers?

What are the similarities and differences in the images?

 

Christians use candles, icons and rosary beads to help them during prayer. Christians believe candles represent the light of Christ and increases concentration when making prayer. 

 

Let’s come up with a list of suggestions - what might a Christian want to talk to God about?

 

Add the suggestion list to the RE learning wall

Can we identify and name parts of a tree, recognising they are not always the same?

Talk partners - Can you name the different parts of a TREE?

 

Can we name parts of a tree even when they look different from each other?

Now it's your turn to draw an oak tree. Your teacher will pause the video to give you time to draw along. When you have finished, label the parts of the tree you have drawn.
