Today we continue to write the middle of our innovated story. We need to remember to include:

  • Capital Letters
  • 'but' in a sentence
  • Full stops
  • Finger Spaces

What words, pictures and symbols reflect that a baby belongs to God’s family when they have been baptised?

Let's recap 

  1. At an infant baptism, a child is welcomed into the church using water.
  2. There are important symbols such as water, the cross and a candle.
  3. During an infant baptism, parents and godparents make promises for the new child.

Infant baptism - a sacred ceremony where a baby is welcomed into the church family of God

Promise - an agreement to do or not do something

 

Godparent - an individual chosen by the parents to take a role in the child's Christian upbringing and development

Today you will name all the symbols that are part of a baptism. You will also explain a bit about why they are so important and what they represent.

Vegetables comes from different parts of a plant. Sometimes we can eat the whole plant and sometimes we can only part of it.
