Whizz, Pop, Bang! Let’s ignite new interests, imagination and exploration. Join me in an exciting way to engage in finding out about how things happen and why! We’ll carry out experiments and investigate their reaction. Come on bright sparks, are you ready to be challenged?    

Multi-skills 

A fun and competitive session where children will be participating in multi-skills activities. The perfect way to have fun, stay fit, be safe, make new friends. During our sessions, we will deliver a range of fun and exciting games to build confidence, social skills and improve fitness.

Ginger Bear

Are you a good listener?  Do you like talking 👄? If so, then come and make friends with a bear called Ginger. He'll tell you all about him and his family and where he lives. He'll talk about how he feels and the things that he likes to do. Can you share some things about yourself with Ginger too? 

Road Safety  

We will provide a fun and safe environment teaching children about what traffic is and why it is important to know how to keep ourselves safe on the roads. As this is a vital life skill, we provide children with the resources and skills to support them becoming confident pedestrians.  
At the end of our Road Safety course, children should:  
 - Understand why it is important to stay safe when crossing a road.  
- Be able to recognise a range of safe places to cross the road.  
- Understand the differences between risky and safe choices.  
- Know different ways to help them keep safe when crossing a road  

Outdoor Art 

If you love the great outdoors and art, then come and join this enrichment session where we'll be getting messy and having fun creating big art pieces. We'll be exploring different art techniques such as colour mixing, marbling, splattering and much more, all whilst using the outdoor provisions.   

Healthy Cooking 

Would you like to learn new skills? Come and join our healthy cooking club. You will learn how to cook some amazing new foods prepared by yourselves to take home and enjoy with your family and friends. Be the next master chef! 

Lego Engineering 

Your challenge, if you choose to accept it, is to gain tools and techniques to solve problems we come across on our journey using Lego pieces. We'll build, explore and investigate. It's going to be hands on learning using our critical thinking, creativity and organisational skills. So, if you think you've got it in you come and join us in having some fun! 

Balance Bikes 

At Stoneyholme’s Balanceablity Enrichment we will learn lots of skills and take on some exciting assault courses. We will become experts on how to protect ourselves whilst out and about. I promise it will be ‘wheely’ fun! 

Creative Crafts 

Are you creative? Do you have an eye for detail? Would you like to be creative but just don’t know where to start? Well, join me in our creative crafts session to see what you can make. We’ll be learning new techniques like fringing and curling to make awesome craft creations.  

Lego Coding 

Get creative with LEGO DUPLO, spark your curiosity and explore coding solutions with LEGO.

Sphero’s  

Do you like cars? Do you like racing? Come along to our Sphero Indi where you can program cars to do special moves, pacing over tight tracks and high bridges without falling. You can race your friends.   

Sew Creative  

You don't always need to buy new things - come and learn how you can make or decorate plain things for yourself or to give as a gift using recycled fabric, felt, buttons, beads, sequins, ribbon found around the home. Our focus this time will be on decorating a plain pencil case with fabric and different embroidery stitches and following a paper pattern to make a worry monster. At the end of the 5 weeks, you will get to take them home along with your sewing kit. 

Ballet  

Year 1 and 2, it’s your time to dance! This club is aimed at energetic and enthusiastic boys & girls who want to come together and have fun by expressing themselves through freestyle, rhythm, and street dance! Not only will you become a superstar dancer, but you will have amazing fun whilst doing so!  

Sketches  

Develop your inner artist using your iPad and the Sketches app, learn advanced techniques to create richer looking art. 

Music Masters  

Come and join the Musical Masterminds! We'll be learning lots of new musical skills based around percussion instruments, mixed with body percussion, singing and dancing. If you want to be a part of the Percussion Parade, this is the enrichment for you!   

Green Screen Intervention  

A green screen is a fun way for young students to learn about visual effects and filmmaking. Using a green, students can film themselves and then digitally insert themselves into different backgrounds or scenes. This allows them to be creative and imagine themselves in all sorts of exciting places, from outer space to underwater.

Weaving 

Come and learn this exciting new creation of weaving.  

Weaving is when you use a range of colourful effects to go in, out, up, down, over and under creating stripes and patterns.  

We will be doing lots of different types of weaving including paper weaving, thread weaving, nature weaving, fabric weaving and pipe cleaner weaving.  

All this weaving will help your fine motor skills and exercise all your finger muscles. This will make you great writers. So, let's get started!

Junior Jam  

Have you ever wondered what all the weird and wonderful instruments are in the music room? Well now you can if you join in with Junior Jam. In this enrichment we will be playing and testing out all the different instruments from Bongo Drums to the Piano and everything in between. You will learn lots of new skills in this enrichment, so why don't you come and join us for Junior Jam and release your inner musician. 

Apple Keynote 

Master the use of keynotes, bring your presentation to life with some magic moves. 

Portrait Artist 

Learn about styles, colours, composition and become a complete Artist. Observe the great portrait artists of the world spanning the decades as your starting point. Then using observational drawing as the beginning of your painting journey, you’ll work through the processes to create a masterpiece.

Wellbeing Wednesday 

Our Wellbeing Enrichment is based around the 4 concepts of Mind, Mentoring, Strong Body and Strong Team. Children learn that physical activity and good mental health are linked. This enrichment raises the profile of health and wellbeing using physical activity as a vehicle for change and empowering young people to support one another. 

Game Development  

Do you like playing games? Now you can learn how to create, share and play your own games. From fairy tales to racing, catching to bouncing, go as far as your imagination can take you. 

Stoneyholme Snappers 

Stoneyholme Snappers is designed to provide children with a creative, safe, and fun learning environment. Where young children get to explore creative photographic ideas whilst learning a lifelong skill. And with winter just around the corner, children will have the perfect opportunity to capture the cold and crispy weather that come with it.  Learn how to capture the perfect light, try capturing the sharpest flower shot, master the perfect landscape frame, and why not create your own photo journal. Let’s see where your camera and your eyes take you! 

Engineering 

Would you like to explore a project-based learning activity in Science, Technology, Engineering Art and Mathematics which will help extend the curriculum taught in your class? In this STEAM enrichment activity, you will learn what engineers do, build bridges and rollercoasters, marble runs and take part in paper towel challenges.  

This STEAM project will enable you to gain experience that builds understanding and vocabulary, critical thinking, problem solving, communication and reflection. 

Life Drawing  

Time to become a master of Drawing. Use a variety of mediums to create. Fine those Observations and enhance your skills. Life drawing is all about drawing figures, being the model, being the artist. Let’s scale up and really push the limits.

Rugby Intervention 

A specialist coach from Burnley Rugby Club will be visiting our us to deliver these sessions. This is the perfect opportunity for you to take part in lots of fun and exciting skill-based drills and be competitive whilst playing contact Rugby games.   

Athletics 

Come and develop your agility, balance, coordination, speed, running, throwing, and catching skills. Build your confidence, social skills and improve your fitness! Prepare yourself for Stoneyholmes Athletics competitions!

Dance  

Year 5 and 6, it’s your time to dance! Come and learn how to play Tag Ruby! It is a fun filled competitive sport that requires lots of skills. We will learn how to: pass, catch, run with the ball and attack, and defend. We will build up to small games and participate in a mini–Tag Rugby competition.

Project Runway  

Ever wonder what happens to your old clothes? Wonder no more!  We will be learning all about Fast Fashion and recycling our old clothes into new. We will be strutting our stuff, using our stuff! Come along to Project Runway - an ecofriendly club where you will create a new outfit or accessory without creating waste. Let me see your most imaginative designs using old or unused clothes.
