Specify points and use evidence to support opinions.

First of all, we will create a story board using freeze frames of the story so far. You will be taking on the role of the characters.

As we watch a little more of the story, consider these statements. Are they true not? What is your evidence?

Gromit likes Miss Bake O’ Light.

Miss Bake O’ Light is going to marry Wallace.

Several bakers have moved house.

Now let's think about how the characters are feeling at different points in the story.

My turn:

How is Gromit feeling?

What is Gromit thinking?

Why does he feel this way?

Can he share his feelings with Wallace? Why? Why not?

I will write this in the role of Gromit:

____________________________________________

____________________________________________

____________________________________________

____________________________________________

____________________________________________

____________________________________________

Your turn: Write in role of Fluffles for one part of the story. Choose one of the pictures below and write about Fluffles' feelings and thoughts. Remember to write in first person using I, me and my.

How is Fluffles feeling?

Why does she feel this way?

What is Fluffles thinking?

Why is she thinking this?

Challenge:

Choose another part of the story and repeat.

Can you do the same for a third event?

📖 Christian Story: Zacchaeus (Luke 19:1–10)

Tell the story simply:

Zacchaeus was a tax collector. He made mistakes.
He took extra money from people, which was wrong.

One day, Jesus came to his town. Zacchaeus climbed a tree to see Him.

Jesus said, “Zacchaeus, come down. I am coming to your house.”

Zacchaeus knew he had done wrong.
He said, “I will give the money back and help people.”

Zacchaeus changed. He learned from his mistakes.

 Discussion
