Can you identify the suffix in the second word in each case (-ssion).

Although this suffix sounds the same as the suffixes -sion and -tion , it is spelt differently (-ssion).

Like the suffixes -sion and -tion, adding the suffix -ssion usually turns verbs into nouns.

The suffix -ssion is commonly used if the root word ends in -mit, - or -ss.

Watch how the -t, - or -ss is dropped before the

 -ssion suffix is added.
