A noun is the name of a person, place or thing- eagle, tree, bird, flowers 

Expanded noun phrases add more detail to the noun by adding one or more adjectives. An adjective is a word that describes a noun.

For example: a huge tree, some colourful sweets, the large, royal castle

An expanded noun phrase can also add detail by saying where a noun is.

For example: a tree next to the house, some sweets on the floor, the castle by the ocean.

Today we are going to use the adjectives we generated yesterday in sentences about what events might have happened to Tom in the rainforest.

 A huge snake slithered towards him.

 As he walked across the rainforest floor, Tom saw many large, green plants on the ground.

Every year, bullying hurts many children and young people. When we stay quiet, bullying can grow.

This Anti-Bullying Week, we want to help you use your Power for Good by safely speaking up and spreading kindness when you see bullying — whether it happens in person or online.

Real change happens when we all work together.
In the playground, at home, at school, and even on our phones — everyone has an important role to play.

Together, we can use our Power for Good to stop bullying and help everyone feel safe and supported.

Before we can use our power to stop bullying first we need to understand what bullying is.

Work in groups to record what you think bullying is.

Bullying is when someone keeps being unkind to another person on purpose, and it makes them feel upset or scared.
It happens again and again, not just once, and the person being unkind is doing it to hurt someone.

So what power do you have to stop bullying?

Now you are going to design the superhero you are going to be with the power to stop bullying!
