LC: To write paragraph 3 of a narrative which includes the conjunction, ‘because’.
Today we are going to write the third paragraph of our narrative.
Take a moment to read back through and check where we stopped in our narrative.
In the third section, you need to include how the people of the neighbourhood come up with a plan to dig a hole and wait for the Iron man to arrive.
Let's write a model for the third paragraph together.
Now you can create your own. Remember to check the success criteria.
Success Criteria:
1. Includes the conjunction ‘because’.
2. Adverbs.
3. Complex sentences with commas to separate clauses.

What did you learn in RE last week?
In this lesson we are going to look at the beliefs and the values in the story of 'Calling of the Fisherman'.
What is a belief?
It is an acceptance that something exists or is true, whether or not there is proof or evidence.
For example, I believe in witches.
What is a value?
They’re unwritten rules that set the standards of behavior in our daily life. There are many values. Some good. Some bad.
Good: Friendly, good speaker, kind, good listener, hard working, honest, brave, confident, organised, intelligent, perseverance
We are going to watch the story of the 'Calling of the Fisherman' again.
Watch and listen carefully. We will identify the religious teachings in the story.

Simon Peter was a fisherman and probably worked long unsociable hours. He would have been a simple, uneducated but hardworking man. Why might Jesus value these qualities in a follower? What did Jesus want Simon Peter to do?
How did Simon Peter show his belief in Jesus?
Why might Simon Peter want to follow Jesus and leave everything behind?
Peter’s name was Simon, but Jesus changed it to Peter, which means ‘rock’.
