LC: Compose complex sentences using the conjunction 'although'.
Although is a conjunction which is used in sentences to make the main clause sound surprising!
For example:
Although the sun was shining, it wasn't very warm.
Although I was wearing 3 layers, I was still cold.
Although I arrived early, the school was closed.
Now lets try and swap although to come after the comma:
It wasn't very warm, although the sun was shining.
Does the sentence still make sense?
Can you swap the clauses for the other 2 sentences above?
LC: To read, analyse and evaluate texts looking at language, structure and presentation.
Let’s read Chapter 2!
We are now going to chunk the plot into a table … We are only completing the second column today!
