Being self-aware means getting to know and understand what we are good at, what we find difficult, our likes and dislikes, what makes us feel JOY and what may cause us SADNESS. It is also about understanding what makes us unique and our fears, hopes and dreams.
Pupil Bingo
Each person is going to have their own bingo card.
Move around the classroom and when you find another child who meets one of their statements write their name on your card.
Have you learnt anything new about the class? How do you feel making connections with the other children, and what emotions did you feel when taking part in the activity?
We don’t always know everything about everyone and whilst we are all different, we also have similarities.
What is National Storytelling Week?

National Storytelling Week is a week where we celebrate the power of telling stories. It happens every year.
The power of stories

The power of stories is amazing. Stories can:
-
Help us learn: Stories teach us new things, like how to be kind or brave, and help us understand right from wrong.
-
Make us feel: Stories can make us laugh, feel sad, or even excited. They can help us understand our own feelings and the feelings of others.
-
Take us to new worlds: Stories let us imagine new places, like magical lands or space adventures.
-
Bring people together: Sharing stories with family and friends helps us connect with each other and understand one another better.
-
Spark our imagination: Stories help us use our imagination, creating new ideas and stories of our own!
Tell your friends about a story you have read, using your own words to describe it. Say something you liked about it, or maybe something you didn’t like!
