Activity time
As Historians, we look at sources of information in books, on the internet, from photographs and films then ask questions to find out about the past.
This week, we are going to look at the key events in the life of another explorer. His name is Tim Peake. Unlike Robert Falcon Scott, Tim Peake is still living and only became famous for his expedition a few years ago.
With your talking partner, answer the questions below about this photo.
Where is he from? How do you know?
Where did he explore? What evidence do you have?
What equipment would he need?
What transport would he use?
When we learned about the life of Robert Falcon Scott, we found out that he joined the Royal Navy at 13 and sailed many times before he travelled to the South Pole with his team. These were key events in his life.

Just like we did for Robert Falcon Scott, we are going to place events in chronological order on a timeline of Tim Peake's life.
To know how information is organised in a non-chronological report.
