Today we are going to write the beginning of our innovated story. We are going to keep the structure of the opening and the punctuation the same, but make the changes we have discussed this week.

Tom's dad was a famous explorer. He got lost whilst exploring the Amazon rainforest. Tom resolved there and then to rescue him. First he studied a globe and found South America. He bought a map, packed his bag and set off.
