LC: To manipulate sentences for effect when writing the first part of a story.
You will be writing two short stories with flashbacks from two of the characters in the poem, 'The Lion and Albert'.
In our first story, the flashback story will be written from the perspective of Wallace the Lion and modelled.
The following story will be independent and will be written from a different character's perspective.
Before writing your flashback story from the perspective of Wallace, you will be provided with the plot structure / planning grid that you will use for your story.
Your story will be written in 1st person as Wallace and will begin with Wallace describing his current situation. The story will then flashback to the events that have led up to this and then return to the present day.

You are going to create a presentation about the 5 physical regions of North America.
Your presentation, which you will create on Keynote, will contain at least 6 slides:
1. Title Slide - The Physical Regions of North America
2. The Mountainous West
3. The Great Plains
4. The Canadian Shield
5. The Eastern Region
6. The Caribbean
For each region, you will need to find information using your iPad - you must also use images to show the reader what each region looks like.
For each region, you can discuss:
- The physical geography - is it flat, mountainous or hilly?
- The climate - is it dry, wet, cold or hot?
- Natural resources - what resources are taken from the region?
- Wildlife - what animals thrive there?
