We have all made progress with our reading in Year 5. Do your very best and remember to take your time!! Children who spend longest on the assessment (without timing out any questions) do much, much better than those who rush!!
Here's a reminder about how to answer each type of question.

LC: Be able to explain why people believe what they believe.
Different people believe different things. Everyone is different and not everyone has to agree with each other. We can empathise with different beliefs and respect peoples' right to have their own beliefs without necessarily having the same beliefs.
Remember the different beliefs about miracles:
- They did happen at the time of the Bible, but miracles don’t happen anymore.
- They can all be explained away by science, miracles do not happen.
- Miracles did happen in Biblical times, and still happen today.
Continue to prepare for our class debate – ‘Miracles are too impossible to believe in’ - from your group's given perspective. Remember to use evidence to support your arguments. You may not be arguing from your own point of view, but advocating for a view that may not be your own. This is an important skill as it helps you to understand other people.
