Chunk 2 : 

 

We will be focusing on chunk 2 and introduce Zabina the owl, we will be including a description and her character traits.

 

 

Task 1: 

 

Where are your eyes drawn to on the image?

We will watch some videos on owls and read some more information. We will then add to our grid on owls.

 

Teacher model: Use all the information/poems explored to create a short burst poem.  We will Structure the poem via the sequence explored for each physical feature.


 

Your turn: Using the teacher model write your own poem using the sequence below. Children can plan their own. Remember you must include noun phrases and some similes. 

Complete worksheet 15, pages 95 and 96.
