Today you are going to create an advert about either self-respect or respectful relationships with others. 

Who has seen an advert on the TV?

Are all of them telling you to buy a product? Or are some adverts created to raise awareness?

Activity

Your teacher will put you into a group and identify which one you are going to focus on!

1. Select someone in your group to be the spokesperson. The rest of you are going to be actors.

Ideas for self-respect advert

  • Positive self-talk
  • Taking care of your mental health (colouring, listening to music, reading)
  • Taking care of your physical health (bathing, exercising)
  • Walking away from someone who is disrespecting you
  • Saying no to something that makes you feel uncomfortable

Ideas for respectful relationships advert

  • Displaying manners (please, thank you, you're welcome)
  • Not talking over others. Waiting your turn
  • Treating others kindly
  • Sharing
  • Responding to someone's opinion in a respectful way
