In English we are going to be learning a new poem.

We are going to learn th poem 'The Owl and the Pussycat' by Edward Lear

It’s not a storybook but a poem—a special kind of writing with rhythm, rhyme, and sometimes nonsense.

This poem is full of imaginative ideas—animals sailing a boat, buying rings, playing guitar, etc.

It shows that poems don’t always have to make sense—they can just be fun and magical.
