Questions are sentences which ask something.
When we write a question, we should put a question mark (?) at the end of the sentence. A question mark goes on the end of every question.
What words can we use to start a question?
What questions would you like to ask about this picture?
To be able to find the duration of time to 5 minutes, given the start time and the end time.
Let's explore.
Let's learn.
Let's try the guided practice together.
Turn to page 135 and 136.
Can you describe the basic needs of animals, including humans, for survival?
Key Vocabulary - basic needs, water, food, air, breathing, survival
We are going to pretend we are stranded on a desert island.
The sun is beating down and no boats have been seen.
This desert island has nothing on it from your home. It has sun, sea, sand and a bit of shelter, but nothing else. What would you really miss from home if you were stuck on this island for a long time?
What one thing would make you happy? Is it the same as the thing you would miss the most?
A small boat might pass by but it can't carry lots of things. It can only carry the things we definitely need to survive.
Let’s make a list together, in case the boat comes by?
What are the things we need to survive? What are the things we don’t need?
So what do humans need to survive?
Why do we need food and water?
If we had our pets on the island with us, how would the list change? What would their pet needs to survive. Could it survive on the same things we could?
Record a message on your bottle explaining what humans need to survive and why?
