Wednesday

To be able to count money in notes and use the symbol for pounds (£).

Let's explore.

Let's learn.

Let's try the guided practice together.

Turn to page 19 and 20.

Today we are going to use the notes we made yesterday and the original story to draw a new story map.

Remember, we are keeping the same structure of the story but changing a few elements.

Can you identify the different steps in wudu?

Talk partners

How do we respond to things that matter?

Why do Muslims believe it is important to obey God?

When someone invites us to a party, we take time to get ready. We might have a bath or shower, brush our hair and put on our best clothes. This shows that we think this party is important and that we respect the person who has invited us.

When Muslims pray, it is a sign of showing commitment and obedience to Allah. Before prayer, Muslims must take time to prepare.

What is Wudu?

Wudu is a ritual washing, which is compulsory before prayer. Wudu is also referred to as ablution

It is both practical (keeping clean) and spiritual (a reminder that when humans speak to God, being clean in body is a symbol of being pure in heart and mind).

Today, we are going to go outside and instruct our partners how to do wudu.
