To plan and discuss what to write about.
Now we are halfway through the book, we are going to look back on what has happened so far and think ahead to how we can read as writers.
When we finish the book, we will write a chapter of our own, where Plop meets a new character who can tell him about the dark and why he should not be afraid.
You are going to draw a story map of the events in the book that we have read so far.
Today we are going to start Revision 2 in our MNP books.
Read the questions before answering.
Turn to page 197-200.

What is a map?
Why might people need them?
When do we use them?
As Geographers, we need to learn some new vocabulary that will help us to understand more about how and why we use maps.
Bearings- a person's way of standing or moving.
Navigate- Plan and direct the course of a ship, aircraft, or other form of transport, especially by using instruments or maps.
Compass- An instrument containing a magnetized pointer which shows the direction of magnetic north and bearings from it.
Can you remember what the letters on a compass stand for?
Today, we are going to be giving clear instructions to navigate a Bee-Bot in order to reach a final destination. Your teacher will be asking you to use compass directions when you explain how your Bee-bot is moving.
