Wednesday

Can we evaluate a food product using taste, smell, and texture?

Our senses help us to make sense of the world around us. They give us information and help to keep us safe.

We use our eyes for our sense of sight.

We use our ears for our sense of hearing.

We use our skin for our sense of touch.

We use our nose for our sense of smell.

We use our tongue for our sense of taste.

Talk partners

How did your product look?

How did it smell?

How does it taste and feel?

Now have a go at completing your yoghurt evaluation on seesaw. Read the questions carefully, orally practice your answer then write your answer.

Participate in role in English and across the curriculum, e.g. take on the role of a character and speak in role.

Today we are going to think about the story 'Thomas Goes Crash' again.

Take a look at these pictures from the story.

Now let's stand up and 'step into' the story.

How are you feeling now Thomas? Which part of the story are you thinking about?

Practise this for different parts of the story, with your talk partner.

Now write the speech bubble on your whiteboards (I will…)

Once we have finished this, let's listen to the story and find out the actual order of the story and talk about it together.

Today we will be revisiting splitting different shapes into quarters!

How many parts are there in a quarter?

Can you split the square in front of you into quarters?

Now can you shade in 1 quarter of your square?

Talk partners

You have -

a rectangle

triangle

circle

Can you split the shapes above into quarters and shade in 1 quarter of each shape?

Think about how many parts there are in a quarter?

Play the game below as a class and see if you can score full marks!

Can we identify what we are good at, what we like and what we dislike?

Education must develop every child's personality, talents and abilities to the full.

We are all unique.

Education must give us the chance to explore, so we find out what we enjoy and practise until we become the very best we can be.

Remember- we must give things a try a few times before we decide if we do not like it.

Talk with your talking partner about what you think you are good at.

It might be physical like riding a bike or writing neatly. It might be that you are a good friend because you share.

Now think about things you like and dislike.

What makes you like this?

What makes you dislike this?
